There are Three Sides to Every Story

PERSPECTIVE #3

It's said that there are two sides to every story.  But I say there are three.   Yes, there's your side and then there's my side, and then, there's God's side to the story.    His side to the story is His perspective, the real truth, as seen from above.

We can only see one side of a coin at any one time.  Try it.  Try looking at both sides of the coin at once.   It can't be done.   Regardless of how much you try, you can't see both sides, both perspectives at once.    You can see the tails, or you can see the heads, or you can look at it side on and get a slight glimpse of one side, but you can't see both sides of the coin at once.   Even if you spin the coin, you can't see both sides at once.   I guess if we could see the coin spinning in slow motion, that would be helpful, but we still couldn't see everything at once.

Only Someone with supernatural vision can see both sides of the coin at once, even if it is spinning in circles, which is what our situations often feel like.    God is able to see all aspects of a situation, like both sides of a coin, all at once, whether it's spinning madly or sitting still.   He is not limited by time or space or our human vision.

The way God sees things is the real truth of the situation.  His perspective, from above.

Do we want to know the truth in a situation or do we want to hang onto our side of things, our way of seeing, our bias?

Is it 'heads, I win; tails, you lose?'.

Or is there more to it than that?

Psalm 33:13-15

From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from His dwelling-place He watches all who live on earth  - He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
