Who is this Jesus?
Who wants to remove the log jams
From the river He created
Who asks for my relics and idols
Who wants to carve out the sides
To make more room for Him
For His grace, His truth, His life
For His sake, for my sake,
For their sake
Who is this Jesus?
Who calls me to come out
Of all that is familiar
To let go of what I thought I knew
To let go of who I thought I was
To let go of Who I thought He was
to truly discover Him
Who is this Jesus?
of serving and striving
Who blinds me with His light
Who asks me impertinent questions
Who is the Lord that I knew only from afar
Who takes the scales from my eyes
and allows me to see
Who is this Jesus?
Who said, "It is finished!"
Who paid the price,
Who carried all my sin,
My failures, my excuses,
All my reasons to be busy
All my self-sufficiency
Who breaks me and
Who brings me undone
Who is this Jesus?
That I thought I knew
That I've taught and presented
That I've strived for, for so long
That I've brought others to
Who has asked me to leave
my busyness, my roles,
my doing, my knowing
to follow Him
Who is this Jesus?
Who says to me
But there is only one thing
That is needed"
Come to Me,
walk with Me.
Who is this Jesus?
Who says, "Come to the waters,
Come, buy and eat
Yes, come buy wine and milk
Without money and without price"
and eat what is good.
And let your soul
Delight itself in abundance
Who is this Jesus?
Who asks, "What do you want Me
I am here now
What do you really need?
I am all that you need
What will you ask me for?
Don't leave empty
Who is this Jesus?
Who says "You will seek Me
Who calls me deeper
Who shows me more
Who is more
Than I ever asked, thought or imagined
Who is this Jesus?
Who stood at the door of my heart
Who knocked persistently
Who didn't give up
Who waited and wooed
Who called out, who sought out
He is Jehovah Jireh, my Provider
He is El Shaddai, more than enough
He is I AM
Here I am
I am ready to receive
Everything You want in me
There is more
Here I am
There is nothing in the way
Oh that you would find my faith
An open door
