Today, I'm writing for Five Minute Friday, and today's prompt word is FAKE.
Jesus wasn't fake,
He wasn't nice,
He wasn't mild,
He was kind,
He was brave,
Jesus didn't make
people feel better
about themselves,
He told them the truth
With grace
Jesus didn't fake
His love,
His grace,
Jesus didn't make
the truth
sound better
to save face,
But He wrapped it
in love
and said it
to their face
Jesus' love wasn't fake,
He didn't try to make
people love Him,
follow Him,
listen to Him,
Jesus didn't take
but He gave
and He displayed
the Father's love
and favour
Jesus didn't fake
His power,
His miracles,
His redemption,
Jesus made
the blind see,
the deaf hear,
the lame walk,
the broken whole,
He brought salvation
Jesus didn't fake
His submission,
His obedience,
to the Father,
Jesus didn't take
His own plans
and make
them happen,
Jesus' love
for His Father
wasn't fake
Jesus wasn't fake
about His purpose,
His assignment,
He didn't make
claims that weren't true,
that weren't tried
and tested
in the furnace
of obedience,
He came to make
a way,
to be The Way
Jesus' ministry
wasn't fake,
He called,
He taught,
He touched,
He gave,
He laid down
His life
that He might
save
those who would
come
This same Jesus
isn't a fake!
He's the same today
as He was yesterday,
He will make
your life
a testimony
to His grace
if you will take
Him at His word,
and lay your fake
gods at His feet,
if you will embrace
all that He is
and all that He has
for you
Jesus is not a fake!
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. John 1:17-18
Your love is the real thing

If you want to be like Jesus,

Show your Christian tolerance,
and by this we really mean
that you do approve our sin;
it is not Grace we want to glean,
and so please do not begin
to say hate sin, but love the sinner,
for that's not what we want to hear.
No, we all want to be the winner,
and meantime let's make one thing clear,
that if you try to say what's True
we are gonna cancel you."
